Overview

Babylist is looking for an experienced Advertising Accounting Specialist who will own the processes surrounding contracts, collections, and maintenance of data as it relates to our advertising revenue.  You will work with our Partnerships team in drafting contracts and negotiating billing schedules with our clients.  You will own the billing and collections process, invoicing clients monthly and following up on outstanding balances to ensure payment is received.  You will assist with maintaining accounting schedules related to advertising revenue.   You will also collaborate cross-functionally with the Partnerships and Accounting/Finance teams, ensuring appropriate stakeholders have the information they need in regards to advertising agreements.

What You’ll Do

  • Draft contracts from pitch decks and other communications, manage any subsequent edits, and ensure the signing of contracts by all parties
  • Accurately input all data for advertising contracts into Netsuite and manage any subsequent changes
  • Negotiate billing schedules with clients alongside the Partnerships team
  • Assist with the tracking of ad campaigns
  • Invoice clients monthly based on billing schedules and manage credits and refunds as necessary
  • Own the collections process, following up with clients to ensure collections of all payments due
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Partnerships and Finance/Accounting teams, ensuring appropriate dissemination of information
  • Update forecasting resulting from advertising campaign flight changes
  • Assist Accounting with the maintenance of various ad revenue and billing schedules
  • Documentation of processes

Who You Are

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with client facing interactions
  • Comfortable working remotely in a fast paced environment
  • High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail and organization
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Netsuite experience is a must

What You’ve Done

  • +2 years of accounting experience (including JE, Recs, collections)
  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting or similar field
  • You have a background in contract review and maintenance, collections and accounting
  • Familiar with media and advertising businesses, including affiliate and digital media
