You might just be Thinkific’s next Business Development Specialist, App Store!

As the Business Development Specialist, App Store, you’ll join our Platform Operations team and support the rapid growth of Thinkific’s App Store. Launched earlier this year, the Thinkific App Store is a collection of apps that extend the core UX and functionality of our platform, contributing greatly to success for our customers. This part of our business continues to grow, and a wide variety of new app developers are actively building solutions on top of our online learning platform and listing them in the Thinkific App Store. In this role, you’ll manage and nurture relationships with both new and existing app developers through our App Developer Partner program.

In this role, you will:

  • Review inbound app developer leads to assess how their existing product or proposed new app solution would help our customers
  • Identify high potential inbound app opportunities to pursue, either on your own or in conjunction with the Business Development Manager, App Store
  • Nurture existing relationships with listed app developers to ensure their success, and help maintain and grow Thinkific’s reputation as an attractive option for app developers
  • Support the Business Development Manager, App Store during the scoping, contracting, development, and review phases of all apps (from both inbound and outbound sources)
  • Collaborate actively with the Marketing, Support, and Customer Success teams to roll out new apps to our customers
  • Collaborate actively with the Product Development, Platform Operations, and Marketing teams to optimize the inbound lead funnel to increase app submissions

To be successful in this role, you likely:

  • Have 2+ years of experience in a partnerships, account management, customer success, or business development role in a B2C/B2B SaaS or PaaS environment
  • Know how to maintain a successful inbound lead pipeline to help achieve your targets
  • Possess a working knowledge of the commercial, technical, and functional considerations and best practices for building and marketing digital services and tools
  • Learn new software easily and can navigate high-level technical conversations with ease
  • Quickly assess software for its value add and product-market fit relevant to the Thinkific ecosystem
  • Are an independent problem solver
  • Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Network confidently—you know how to build relationships with external partners and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams—you’ve worked with different teams before and can quickly gain an understanding of who to go to and when

You might be the person we’re looking for if you:

  • Are eager to learn and grow—you’ve likely had some post-secondary education or have equivalent professional experience in a similar role, and you continue to seek opportunities to level up your skills
  • Can show proven success with optimizing inbound lead funnels to reduce manual effort and increase successful lead conversion
  • Have experience and measurable results with managing and growing partner accounts in the past
  • Possess strong research and data analysis skills
  • Are highly organized—your T’s are crossed and I’s are dotted and may have your own systems and processes in place to ensure you’re on track

Bonus points if you:

  • Have done any (or all!) of the above in the online learning or LMS space (either B2C or B2B)
