TXI is looking for a Client Partner who can become a strategic advisor to our clients.

TXI Client Partners are senior strategists responsible for growing valuable, long-term relationships with one or more clients by providing expertise and pragmatic advice to help leaders within those organizations drive new product innovation. We are looking for a senior practitioner who can successfully shape and lead client engagements for new digital product development from discovery through delivery and evolution.

    • Build a deep relationship with clients and find an inside track to insights and opportunities for new products and opportunities
    • Take accountability for maintaining a high standard of excellence for deliverables and TXI’s value-add to clients
    • Negotiate and advise with high integrity, authenticity and influence to build trusted, long-term strategic partnerships
    • Read clients with remarkable accuracy and adapt approach as needed; listen for what isn’t being said to see opportunities and issues where others don’t
    • Strategically reframe problems to create moments of clarity within the context of the business opportunity and constraints
    • Leverage design thinking and facilitation skills to successfully challenge and push client teams to think differently about what’s possible, and to harness insights from within and build conviction around a vision and solution
    • Lead with needs (vs. solutions), adept at guiding and potentially participating in research activities to generate new insights
    • Focus on outcomes and establishing ways to measure success and the impact on the business
    • Take calculated risks and bring new thinking and approaches to the table
    • Demonstrate courage and confidence in leading and advising teams to create outsized value and outcomes
    • Turn curiosity into opportunities by asking strategic questions and opening doors to new conversations
    • Create and launch engagements that nurture employee experience and growth. Provide coaching for teams and clients to help create an environment where engaged teams can do their best work.

Core Responsibilities

    • Oversee client engagements to ensure high quality of our deliverables, to drive real outcomes for our clients, and to uncover growth opportunities for TXI  through successful relationship building, negotiation and influence
    • Understand client’s customers, business, and market to bring holistic perspective to and to spot trends for new product development opportunities
    • Provide leadership in the product development process to prioritize value drivers, assess tradeoffs and understand cultural shifts required for change
    • Facilitate workshops to uncover insights, create clarity and drive co-creation of solutions
    • Partner with delivery, designers and engineers to define, validate and test new concepts
    • Develop presentations and narratives to help leaders build conviction internally and secure funding to pursue digital product innovation
    • Act as subject matter expert in digital product innovation and become a trusted advisor to key stakeholders
    • Coach/mentor team on product strategy and bring new approaches for experimentation and process improvement
    • Take a high level view across clients and engagements to evolve TXI’s market offerings, partner with marketing, demand and delivery to package new offerings and support bringing them to market.
    • Engage with clients, partners with marketing to create thought leadership content and case studies representative of the client’s engagement to  demonstrate TXI’s offerings and differentiated value proposition.

About You

    • Deep experience in defining, launching and evolving digital products
    • Practitioner of agile, design thinking and lean startup methodologies
    • Familiarity with common digital product technologies
    • Proven track record in developing and growing successful client partnerships
    • Strong business and technical acumen with the ability to converse fluently about digital products in the larger context of the business and market

Within 1 month, you will
//Start the company onboarding process, learning more about our company’s culture, values, history, and commitments to our clients
//Gain an understanding of our integrated development process, tooling and frameworks, and project approach
//Shadow client teams to learn from our integrated squad(s) of designers, developers, and delivery managers
//Learn more about the client experience, from product discovery through delivery and into maintenance
//Go deeper into the employee experience of working at TXI, meeting with key leaders across the company and to build relationships with the broader team
Within 3 months, you will
//Have a deep understanding of our differentiating value proposition, our portfolio and service offerings, and our Go To Market strategy
//Complete your onboarding process with your onboarding cohort
//Engage with your first client, learning more about their business, unique challenges, and growth opportunities. Within this team, you’ve begun building relationships with both client stakeholders and the TXI delivery team
//Complete your first Sticky Note Game, mapping out goals for your introduction to the company
//Have a manager identified and received your first quarterly feedback
//Attend your first TXI Quarterly with the rest of the organization
Within 6 months, you will
//See a high-impact project through, ideally from start to finish. You will participate in client facing retrospectives along the way to look for opportunities to evolve and improve. You will advise the client on new potential benefits to their business and identify opportunities to bring additional value
//Complete a review with your manager
//Push your team to do its best work yet. You’ll know the team well by this point and will understand how to encourage them to do work the whole team and company is incredibly proud of
//Advance the craft and thought leadership and documented case studies on behalf of TXI. You’ll set a good example and share what you’ve learned with others
Within 1 year, you will
//Attend a company retreat to get to know all of the employees outside of the office setting
//Potentially start with a second client or re-engage with your first client on a new product or phase of work, deepening your relationships

US-friendly hours are strongly preferred. We have a remote-first environment at TXI–with distributed team members in the US, Canada, and Europe who are working from home. We communicate and collaborate effectively in a remote environment with tools like Miro, Notion, Slack, and Zoom. We also prioritize virtual bonding and values such as inclusivity, autonomy and trust while ensuring we take steps to foster positive interactions between employees.
While we encourage asynchronous communication, we often work in pairs or in collaboration sessions, so it is important to have some core hours of overlap with our clients and fellow team members. Regardless of where you are living and working, we will get together in person and as a company several times a year to help build connections and foster relationships within our team.
What to expect next
If we move forward, here’s what the rest of the process that we’ll use to learn together if this is an amazing fit for you:
Initial Interview: After connecting with our recruiting team, you’ll meet the hiring lead over Zoom and cover some TXI basics, then focus the conversation on questions about your past work and how it relates to what you’d be doing at TXI. This stage is a 2-call process and should take no more than 90 min total (unless you want to dig in, chat more and spend some extra time learning about us!).
Virtual Case Study: Here is where we give you a job preview for the role, as well as the opportunity to show off your skills. During the case study, we will ask you questions about your approach to product strategy and management. Our goal is to get a sense of how you approach client work, how you collaborate with a team, and how you solve problems. This stage should take no more than 90 minutes total, and by the end we’ll both have a clear sense of how we work together.
Final All-Team interview: At this stage we’re incredibly excited about your potential to join TXI. You’ll meet with 6 to 8 of your potential integrated team members over a 3.5-hour session, where we will learn more about your leadership skills, consultative skills, and values alignment. You will also spend time with members of our leadership team to talk about how TXI can support you on your journey.
Offer/Decision within 24-48 hours: You’ve made it! You successfully completed the process and spent about 6-7 hours learning about us while sharing more about yourself. Once we get to this stage, we like to move fast. We are committed to debriefing within 24 hours and presenting a final decision within 48 hours (or less!) of your final interview day. If we choose to move forward, our team will collaborate with you to ensure that you have all the information you need to make the right decision for you and your career!
