Overview:

The Deal Desk Analyst will drive productivity and effectiveness of our sales organization through ongoing design, administration, and end user training of our quoting tool (Salesforce CPQ) and related processes.  They will proactively review new quotes and opportunities to uncover potential booking issues or opportunities to  increase ARR.   This role will be a strategic partner and work closely with our Sales organization serving as a critical bridge between Sales, Professional Services, Finance, and Legal functions to achieve company objectives while meeting policies and requirements.  He or she will report directly to our Director of Revenue Operations.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Become an expert in our quoting tool (Salesforce CPQ) and process
  • Work as a trusted advisor to our global sales team, collaborating on pricing, product, and commercial terms for non-standard transactions
  • Be the primary liaison between Sales, Services, Finance, and Legal to resolve issues and develop solutions that ensure deals are quoted correctly and meet booking requirements
  • Manage our product catalog and pricebooks in collaboration with Product, Professional Services, Finance, and Legal stakeholders
  • Actively participate in deal reviews with prospects, sales teams, and leadership
  • Serve as an escalation point when needed to keep deals moving forward as forecasted
  • Cultivate internal relationships at all levels of our worldwide go to market organization
  • Identify tool and process improvements around deal configuration, pricing, and quoting; facilitate user acceptance testing; manage CPQ releases and end user training
  • Manage all aspects of our quote exception approvals including discounts and legal terms modifications
  • Backup our salesforce developer for CPQ system administration as needed
  • General sales and marketing ops go to market functions

Qualifications

  • Experience with deal desk, finance, contracts, sales, or revenue operations
  • Software/SaaS industry experience
  • Adept at business partnering and working with cross functional teams, building meaningful business relationships along the way
  • CPQ tool experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
