Job Title: Manager Product Operations

The manager of Product Operations is a leadership role at Cayuse running operations of our extended products, globally. This position reports to and works closely with the SVP of Product Management Will be involved in strategy, planning and operations for all Products. They will also work closely with all the Cayuse executives, product managers, and cross-functional operational leaders to drive a culture of product management transparency, and operational excellence commensurate with a high-growth company. The overall goal with this position is to improve our product release process, foster a culture of product management transparency, strengthen our ability to understand our users through data collection via our products, and provide suggestions for continuous improvement.

This leader will oversee all aspects of product operations and communications, including orchestrating cross-product roadmap processes, tracking and documenting delivery milestones and progress, running annual planning and budgeting, analyzing productivity and cost trends, and reporting to executive and C-level audiences.

Your Challenge: 

  • Working with product managers to refine and lead a centralized process across products to generate strategic roadmaps shareable with sales/marketing, senior executives, and customers.
  • Track and communicate progress against key product initiatives and roadmaps company-wide, with clear and early indications of at-risk or missed timeframes and implications to dependent commitments.
  • Manage and optimize the company’s release management process across all products, including direct management of the content manager, release checklists and timing, quality controls, and internal communications.
  • Develop key performance metrics, collect and analyze product data, and make process optimization suggestions for product management and product usage.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Finance to report on and optimize key cloud metrics including costs, gross margin, and uptime.
  • Support all aspects of annual and quarterly product planning including product strategy, business reviews, annual budgeting and hiring plans, and R&D senior executive staff meetings.
  • Manage all tools and systems used across the product management team, establish internal best practices, and ensure effective and consistent usage.
  • Develop and manage regular cadence operating calendar, including regular reviews of products and key programs, and progress against KPIs

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • 10+ years of experience- a combination of software product management and operations/PMO expertise and proven leadership experience
    Experience in Enterprise SaaS/cloud software companies that employ modern product management and software development techniques
  • Strong operational background and track-record of driving and making data-driven decisions and programs
  • Experience working with global, geographically distributed and remote work organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in building strong relationships with stakeholders and cross functional partners across high growth organizations of scale, including C-team and cross department leadership.
  • Aptitude for technology and ability to connect technical concepts with client value
  • Highly analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to break down ambiguous problems and turn them into data-driven insights and actionable solutions, and able to trouble-shoot issues quickly yet thoroughly, to make impactful recommendations.
  • Dedicated to process improvement using data to drive decisions
  • Ability to focus on progress and results; a natural problem solver
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated ability to execute on large, complex, cross-functional projects
