As the Director, Revenue Analytics you will manage our Marketing and Sales Analysts who work closely with our go-to-market revenue teams (specifically Marketing, Sales, Platform, and Growth) to drive data-informed decisions to grow Thinkific by leveraging your knowledge of marketing, sales, and SaaS. Managing stakeholder relationships and your own team, you’ll support your team in providing data support and advice across the GTM teams—from setting KPIs and developing visualizations to reporting and ad-hoc analyses. You will promote, plan and educate to support self-serve data where possible,  and utilize analytical people for the hard problems.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage, mentor, and facilitate career growth and professional development for your team
  • Work closely with our go-to-market (GTM) teams to help refine and measure key metrics and business results
  • Understand and manage the GTM data—definition, tracking, reporting, attribution, and forecasting
  • Support our GTM leadership team in identifying new and potential growth opportunities (and areas of efficiencies) by having an intimate knowledge of key metrics, trends, and business drivers
  • Understand, manage, and be accountable for the quality and consistency of GTM data reporting and analysis
  • Implement frameworks and systems to provide prioritization of work and visibility of work
  • Collaborate with and stay connected to the broader Data team on cross-company data initiatives, such as data literacy, data accessibility, and data confidence
  • Manage and build a team that understands and measures unit economics across channels and provides baseline channel reporting and recommendations to leadership
  • Foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive environment

To be successful in this role, you likely:

  • Have 7+ years of data analysis experience in marketing and sales in a fast-paced and high-growth environment, ideally in SaaS
  • Have 3+ years of experience managing and leading a team of data & business analysts
  • Are experienced managing the needs and priorities of multiple stakeholders, including contributing to strategic plans for your stakeholders, managing prioritization, and executing on team-level plans
  • Have a deep knowledge of key SaaS metrics
  • Possess extensive experience accessing, transforming, and analyzing data from a variety of sources—you’ve likely worked heavily with SQL, Excel, and Google Sheets in the past
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of statistical and data modeling concepts
  • Have previous experience with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or a similar tool
  • Are proficient in working with at least one BI tool, such as Mode, Tableau, or Looker
  • Have a general understanding of the data infrastructure work required to support a world class data team
  • Are a strong communicator who can convey the results of analysis in dashboards and written and verbal reports

  • Are eager to learn and grow—you’ve likely had some post-secondary education or have equivalent professional experience in a similar role, and you continue to seek opportunities to level up your skills
  • Have experience in ETL tools and techniques
  • Are knowledgeable of data techniques in Python and/or R
  • Understand the basic knowledge of Javascript for web tracking
  • Have experience with Active Campaign
  • Have previous experience with Google Optimize or a similar tool
