Almanac’s collaborative doc editor helps distributed and hybrid teams cut Slack, email, and meetings by 80%—so you can reclaim a full day each week to focus on what matters.

Hundreds of teams from 2 to 2000 are already using Almanac to collaborate on docs, organize documentation, and streamline processes as they scale.

That’s where you come in: we’re looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager who wants to make a big impact as we grow Almanac’s surface area and scale it to millions.

About the role

As a member of our technical leadership team, you will use your strong understanding of people, engineering architecture, and development practices to push the boundaries of what a world-class engineering team can be.

Specifically you’ll:

  • Manage and grow a team of motivated, product-oriented engineers
  • Partner with engineers, design, and product to deliver delightful product experiences that feel secure to customers
  • Build an ambitious and positive product delivery culture
  • Manage the tooling, resourcing, and processes needed to ensure that development at Almanac is efficient and simple

About you

Experiences that make you stand out:

  • 8+ years of experience developing performance webapps – specifically tools and processes that ensure quality, speed, and security.
  • 2+ years leading a team of Engineers: holding 1:1s, providing feedback, ensuring highest priorities are accomplished within a sprint cycle
  • Experience using React
  • Experience with backend frameworks like Express (Node) or Rails
  • Experience with Docker
  • Knowledge of package managers like npm and bundler
  • Experience using Postgres or any modern databases

Skills that make you extraordinary:

  • Online portfolio (GitHub) featuring examples of front-end development work
  • Proven experience elevating team culture from within
  • Experience with AWS or GCP
  • Experience with Terraform or any other infrastructure as code tool
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
