Why it Matters: As our first Sales Enablement hire, you will serve an integral role in both strategically building out the enablement function while also moving the needle quickly on the velocity of Axios HQ’s commercial team. This role will train, coach, and develop our entire commercial team, including account executives, account managers, and associates.

Go Deeper: In this role, you will make an impact to Axios through the following responsibilities:

  • Develop a portfolio of training curricula for the Axios HQ commercial team (new business sellers, account managers, and associates) and present/deliver these trainings to the team
  • Conduct skills gap analysis to identify areas of improvement and opportunity
  • Produce physical and digital educational material (e.g. videos, PowerPoint presentations, case studies)
  • Onboard new commercial team members and help coach them through the “signoff” process
  • Report on impact of training programs (e.g. commercial milestones achieved)
  • Provide 1:1 coaching (as needed) of commercial team members post signoff
  • Liaise with external trainers or industry professionals and organize high-impact development moments for team

The Details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills:

  • 10 years of professional experience
  • Deep experience in sales, sales enablement, coaching and development (prior experience as an IC in a commercial role preferred)
  • Track record of building successful sales training and curriculum
  • Experience in 1:1 coaching conversations and ability to manage various stages of performance
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to engage a remote audience with commercial trainings that are highly impactful and actionable
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving needs of a high growth sales team
  • Experience working with sales tools including (Hubspot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • High emotional intelligence and deep commitment to progressive diversity and inclusion practices
