Overview

Moz is looking for a Product Analyst to define our suite of product metrics. You’ll work closely with Directors and Product Managers to recommend strategies, approaches, and analyses that will help us understand how our customers interact with and get value from our product.

This is an exciting opportunity to create a roadmap and vision for product metrics for a well-established company. You’ll have a huge impact on the next generation of product analytics at Moz! We have existing tooling and a data warehouse and need someone to take the metrics to the next level.

You’ll also have opportunity to suggest additional investments in tooling for additional data capture and analysis as needed.

We are an office optional company. This position can be fully remote from anywhere within the USA or Canada. We’re also open to having folks be based out of our Seattle, WA or Vancouver, BC offices.

Diversity & Inclusivity: Moz is committed to building diverse teams where people of all identities and backgrounds are welcome, included, and respected. It’s our mission and promise to interview a diverse and representative slate of candidates before making an offer for our open roles.

  • Recommend tooling and approaches to better capture the data we need in order to understand and characterize interactions and value drivers in our products.

  • Define and measure how customers get value from our tools.

  • Design, structure, monitor and champion A/B testing within our SaaS products.

  • Suggest new business and product opportunities based on data insights.

  • Communicate key findings to Product Managers and Executives to inform our product management & product marketing strategies.

  • Work as a member in the larger Business Intelligence(BI)/Data Science team to ensure consistency and cross-functional collaboration across all areas of reporting.

Experience We Want to See

  • Significant experience as a data analyst, BI engineer or analyst, Product Analyst, or similar. You should have experience in your role from multiple companies, multiple products, or a progression of increasing seniority and complexity in your role.

  • Strong presentation and written skills. This role will have visibility with leadership in product and across the company. You’ve presented to executives before and are adept at understanding the level of detail and technical information to include, how to translate concepts to folks in all areas of a company (marketing, product, engineering, etc.), and how to tell a compelling narrative around data and insights.
