A little about you: Over the last 8+ years you have developed detailed knowledge of the software development lifecycle with experience across a broad spectrum of diverse software delivery mechanisms; Agile, waterfall, CI/CD etc in start up & high growth companies. More recently (think 4-5 years) you have focused your efforts on leading large scale release programs. This work spans crafting and updating the release calendar (we release every 2 weeks), planning and leading all release activities to provide coordination and communication across the team. It would be ideal if you had experience developing processes and tools to monitor different patches, release blockers, feature acceptance failures & regressions occurring in production.
About the role: Reporting directly to the Manager of QA, a Release Manager owns all release and delivery pipelines for different services and client experiences. You will be tasked to develop a robust release process across different technical programs to ensure anything that ships to production goes through you first on time and bug free. Day-to-day, you lead release readiness reviews, milestones, and Go/No-Go activities while producing deployment documentation, implementation plans, and other tracking documents as necessary. The Release Manager plays a pivotal role in the process by being an advocate for quality and risk mitigation. The team will look to you to implement change management processes to identify risks that could affect release scope, schedule, and quality. Currently the team uses Jira dashboards and Confluence documents to track releases, Jenkins, Kubernetes, HELM, Cypress for test automation, Chartio BI, AWS, and our code base is written in Ruby on Rails. Experience with some of our tools is helpful, but we don’t expect you to be a specialist. Today the team is still small, so expect multi-functional collaboration on release activities. Colorado applicants: This role pays $129,000 – $170,000 base salary annually plus equity in the company (pay for other locations may vary).
