Tackle is a fast-growing B2B Saas company, dedicated to helping our customers establish and grow their revenue streams through the hyperscale Cloud Marketplaces (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM/RedHat).  Tackle’s platform makes it possible for our customers to leverage the Marketplaces, without needing significant Engineering resources and we make it easier for those customers to manage, maintain and scale their Marketplace businesses as they grow.  As part of that journey, Tackle becomes a trusted advisor to many different stakeholders within our customers’ organizations:  Sales, Alliances, Finance, Operations, Product, and Engineering.  We are backed by two of the world’s greatest SaaS investors – Bessemer Ventures and a16z and our vision is to change the way that software is sold.

We are looking for energetic, consultative, passionate Sales Engineers who can put both their technical skills and business acumen into action delivering pre-sales demonstrations and technical guidance to enhance the prospecting experience in the sales process.


    • Provide pre-sales functional and technical expertise through the sales process as a Tackle product expert to position Tackle’s solution with Technical and Business audiences
    • Answer technical inquiries from prospects and existing customers regarding technology, features, solutions, and applications as well as articulating Tackle’s technology and product positioning
    • Coordinate and collaborate with the Tackle sales team to understand prospect/existing customers requirements, promote product recommendations for prospects and existing customers
    • Strategize and plan prospect presentations with sales team and other technical experts
    • Become an expert in Cloud Marketplace Offerings – SaaS, Containers, etc – and help guide prospective customers to best practices for transactable listings in the Cloud Marketplace
    • Provide and document technical validation of prospect Cloud Marketplace solutions
    • Communicate with the extended Tackle team including Engineers, PM teams, Implementation and Management to drive the best customer experience and outcome


    • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • Experience in pre-sales is preferred along with the understanding of how software is sold
    • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to describe problems succinctly and think around corners for creative solutions
    • Knowledge of major public cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure or GCP along with architect level certification in at least one public cloud
    • Experience working with one or more of the major cloud marketplace providers
    • Ability to offer additional solutions and integrations in response to prospect/existing customer requirements
    • Ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex engineering concepts in simple, effective terms
    • Ability to work individually, remotely and to collaborate within a team environment to achieve your goals
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and especially presentation skills
