HubSpot is looking for a Security Engineer to focus on our most important asset, our customers.

In this role, you’ll get to:
Provide security and compliance focused subject matter expertise to our existing and potential customers
Contribute to establishing and implementing strategy to scale support of customer security inquiries
Prioritize ongoing responsibility for enablement of customer security inquiries, including establishing and maintaining internal knowledge base and tools, populating security and compliance related RFPs, and supporting direct customer conversations
Partner closely with the Compliance, and Legal Privacy and Risk teams
Partner closely with the HubSpot Sales and Services team to understand customer needs and reduce friction areas
Maintain knowledge of threat landscapes and regulatory changes, while understanding the implications to both the HubSpot product and our organization overall
Work with other various business teams on a variety of security-related processes, risks and opportunities as needed
Assist in the design and execution phases of internal security initiatives

We are looking for people who:
Have at least 3 years of experience in a security operations role
Have a strong understanding of cyber technology stacks and best practices, including host protection, asset management, configuration management, Security Incident and Event Management, orchestration, firewalls, IPS, networking concepts, encryption, vulnerability management, penetration testing, network access control, and public cloud security principles
Are familiar with the role security plays in SDLC
Have a functional knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, SOC2, GDPR and CCPA
Have demonstrated success in a client or customer facing role, with an emphasis on high volumes of customer inquiries
Experience answering RFPs, familiarity with RFP content management platforms is a plus
Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members
Effectively handle high-volume and prioritization of tasks
Have superior organizational skills and are eager to learn quickly
Can persuasively cross-collaborate with different teams in a rapidly changing environment
Are curious by nature and consider fun to be an essential team element
