About the role:

As a software engineer on the CAD team at Aurora, you will help us develop a new generation CAD engine for our solar design platform so our users can design larger systems with higher quality and speed.

What you’ll do:

    • Build new functionality for our CAD solar software — improve and optimize rendering, add new ways to construct and manipulate geometry
    • Develop  innovative ways to allow interactive, easy editing of massive scenes consisting of tens of thousands of objects
    • Visualize electrical circuits and allow edits
    • Mentor other engineers on the team

What we value:

    • Degree in Computer Science or related field/years of experience
    • Strong grasp of linear algebra
    • Familiarity and proficiency as a software engineer working on projects with a focus on 3D graphics
    • Proficiency with JavaScript and C++
    • Strong grasp of WebGL and browser-based 3D rendering.  Experience with three.js or D3 is a plus
    • Understanding of backend functionality
    • Experience with continuous integration and automated deployment systems
    • Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced environment
