Strategic Partnerships Marketing Manager

Stack Overflow is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Marketing Manager to establish and grow our Strategic Partnerships and Alliances initiatives.

While we’re very open to hiring remote (globally), we need your working hours to overlap with at least the hours of 10AM – 1PM US Eastern time.

  • You have managed partnership launches from initial opportunity identification with stakeholders, through partnership negotiations and rate cards, go-to-market strategy and execution, and ongoing training and sales enablement.
  • You have promoted partnerships through demand gen, events, or other channels and are comfortable with putting together a promotion strategy.
  • You know why planning and attention to detail are important and you focus on the details in everything you do.
  • You are a trusted partner. Sales, Marketing, and Product team members turn to you for your knowledge and perspective, they want to collaborate with you, and they trust that you’ll be critically thinking about everything that comes your way.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Partner with Marketing Leadership as well as the Director of Strategic Alliances and Product Leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for partnership. Represent the view of the market by conducting industry research, including deep quantitative, qualitative, and competitive analysis.
  • Develop and execute the go to market plan for each partner by collaborating with your peers in Product Marketing and Product. This will involve project management across organizations, creating value propositions, specific positioning and messaging, and collateral.
  • Create and conduct partner training (e.g., product, pitch, and competitive intelligence) and provide ongoing sales enablement. The more creative the better – video snippets, tips & tricks – anything that gets our partners educated, engaged, and excited about our solutions.
  • Build, iterate, then scale your pricing, GTM, training, and enablement strategies to automate the easy things, allowing you to spend your time on the more complex, and revenue-impacting, activities.
  • Lead all aspects of our partnership portal and educational pages on our website and our presence on partner domains.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing partners to ideate and execute creative, effective campaigns with key partners.
  • Establish key performance metrics and monitor ongoing partner and marketing performance.
  • Analyze product performance, synthesize customer feedback, and advocate improvements.

Who you’ll be working with…

  • You’ll be on the Product Marketing team, reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing.
  • In addition to your Marketing partners, you’ll also be working closely with the Director of Strategic Alliances, Product, Communications, Brand Design, RevOps, and Customer Success.


  • Proven experience in running partnership marketing at a fast-growing SaaS company, ideally 5+ years
  • Experience managing various partner relationships at a B2B organization
  • Experience working with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams
  • A creative approach to scaling the customization needed for partner marketing
  • Data-driven mindset – make decisions based on data and insights
  • Proactive nature – if something isn’t working, figure out what’s broken, how to fix it, and fix it
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across teams and build trust with your partners
  • Excel at working collaboratively
  • Think and act strategically as well as execute tasks on time
  • Communicate effectively – you can adjust how you communicate depending on who you are speaking with and what you need to say
  • Write up findings and present them to various partners so they know what they need to know and have clear direction to make decisions
