Our Lightspeed team is looking for a Support Trainer to join our team in any of our European Offices. Reporting to the Support Manager, the Support Trainer designs and delivers professional, easy to follow training to the Support Team, helping them improve both their soft skills, and the technical skills to deliver a better overall experience for Customers.

Training topics include soft skills like  effective communication, empathy, brand messaging, and creative problem solving. As well as  the delivery of more technical training for our products and internal tooling. The Support Training Specialist adapts learning methodologies  for a variety of environments and topics. This can include group presentations, online testing and one-on-one skills development.

What you’ll be doing:

First things first: you will get full training on our tools and product, and have shadowing sessions with the team. Once you’ll be up to speed, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design and facilitate new hire training programs
  • Complete pre and post training data preparation
  • Advance and drive support interaction Quality Assurance activities
  • Develop and enable interaction coaching & feedback model
  • Create and deliver slide presentations and interactive training exercises
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Product Marketing to develop product training content
  • Design online distance learning materials in both 1-1 and 1-many formats
  • Create, administer, and analyse knowledge assessments for employee training
  • Create and deliver one-on-one and group training for continuing development
  • Contribute to the training delivery strategy across the global organization

What you need to bring:

We’re a team of 100 people located in The UK and Europe. The main purpose of this international team  is to provide customer support for UK, North America and European business customers and guarantee an amazing customer experience. We believe that customer support is more than just providing answers to our customers’ questions, so together with the team you also focus on constantly improving our product.

We’d like you to share your ideas on how we can innovate or improve our business to ensure the best customer experience and support our customers in their success.

  • A Training certification
  • Experience in delivering training in a business environment
  • Experience in Creating and structuring training (content creation and lesson plans) using online learning tools (LMS)
  • Ability to explain complicated procedures in a clear, understandable manner
  • Proven ability to use technology to create learning resources across a range of media and for a variety of audiences
  • Strong level of autonomy with the ability to drive projects with limited guidance
  • Skilled at collaborating on projects across departments and time zones
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Even better if you have, but not necessary

  • CIPD or equivalent experience
  • Passion in technology;
  • Customer facing experience operating in a technology based support organisation
  • Familiarity with mac OS and iPadOS
  •  Hospitality experience
