The Role

The VP of People will own the People function for all of Circulo, including ~250 team members today. The role will be accountable for all People functions (details below). The VP of People will obsess over building a world-class team and everything from the recruitment and on-boarding process to growth tracks and a never ending assessment of our Total Rewards offering. The VP of People will lean heavily into employee engagement, lead the orchestration of quarterly company retreats, and focus on creative ways to drive connectivity with a team that is dispersed across 35+ states (and counting). The VP of People will report to the President.

Who we are looking for

  • 10+ years of professional work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in People functions, including but not limited to, People Operations, Benefits, Compensation, DE&I, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement and Training and Development.
  • Enthusiastic, high-energy people person that puts the human first
  • Empathetic leader with experience handling terminations (voluntary and involuntary)
  • Passionate individual with proven ability to partner across all areas of an organization, understand the differences in roles/accountabilities between organizations, and develop deep relationships with all levels of the company
  • Have a passion for building trust, investing in people, and creating a truly world-class work environment (both virtual and in-person)
  • Creative People leader with an interest in doing things differently, experimenting, and never settling for status quo
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment with high double-digit headcount growth at least annually (preferred)

What you will do

  • Oversee all People matters for the entire organization (250+ team members today)
  • Develop and implement team member engagement and retention strategies
  • Actively participate in DE&I Working Group; lead individual initiatives for 2022
  • Evaluate and iterate off of current team member review processes
  • Equip people managers with tools to be more effective leaders
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of all team members
  • Evaluate and modify Total Rewards benefits package
  • Launch mechanisms to quantify team member engagement such as recurring surveys
  • Develop a People team headcount plan based on business needs and a 30-45 day initial assessment
