We are seeking a VP of People and Culture to work in partnership with the Co-founders and Executive Leadership team to set the roadmap for and lead execution of a People strategy. This person will grow and develop our people and culture, building an engaged, high-performing, diverse organization that champions its employees. You will be responsible for architecting and executing the people and culture strategy that aligns with and enables our mission of transforming an industry. The ideal candidate is a process-driven, outcome-oriented, high empathy leader that is ready to bring know-how and creativity to bear.

The VP of People and Culture reports to the Co-founder & CEO.

In this role you will:

    • Drive the company towards our vision of becoming an employment destination of choice
    • Partner with our DEIBA consultants to customize and implement recommended initiatives including leveling, compensation banding, and performance/growth planning
    • Partner with Leadership to define or redefine policy, benefits, system selection, and compensation strategies in line with budget, recruiting, and retention needs
    • Champion the People Operations function across all phases of the employee lifecycle, from ‘stranger’ to ‘separation’
    • Foster an inclusive, inspiring, safe environment where Ideonauts are empowered to do their best work and grow both personally and professionally
    • Ensure, in concert with Finance, that staffing plans meet strategic and budgetary needs
    • Manage a team of two (to begin) covering both recruiting and people operations functions and create resources, partnership, and learning opportunities for employees and managers throughout the company
    • Act as an active member of the Security Team, ensuring our people processes support a secure and compliant environment

We’d love to talk if you:

    • 10+ years as an HR professional with experience leading a team
    • Experience planning for, scaling and leading a best-in-class People & Culture function (tech stack, team) at a growth-stage, technology company; distributed team experience is a bonus
    • Partnered with leadership to understand short and long-term business goals and built a People and Culture strategy that aligns with and supports those priorities
    • Owned or formalized total compensation and rewards strategy and execution
    • Led strategic DEIBA initiatives including sourcing strategy, compensation audits, leveling, and career pathing
    • Hands-on knowledge of administering Lever, Lattice (or other engagement tool), and HRIS systems
