Overview

Moz is in need of an experienced CMS developer to be an integral member of our website/growth team. Moz.com receives nearly 2 million visits a month, and we’re looking for a results-driven developer to help us expand the reach of our marketing site, community, learning resources, and blog. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has spent a few years working in a content management role and is looking to grow their skills as a developer.

This is a full-time contract position through the end of March 2023.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the web development of the http://moz.com website, powered by CraftCMS.
  • Collaborate with the marketing website team on the most efficient and effective way to continue to evolve the website.
  • Collaborate with designers on new components/layouts, and help guide future design.
  • Help set best practices for performance optimization within CraftCMS.
  • Work with our external hosting provider and internal teams to deliver a safe, seamless web experience.
  • Bring your ideas on how to improve the website to our collaborative team of marketers, designers, and developers.

Experience & Attributes We Want to See

  • 3+ years of on-the-job experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Server-side language work like PHP and additional templating language experience like TWIG are considered assets
  • 2+ years experience developing with a Content Management System (e.g. CraftCMS, WordPress, Django)
  • Solid understanding of web hosting, web security, CDNs, etc
  • Experience working with designers, taking mockups and producing high-quality web pages using CSS frameworks
  • Experience working with marketers to understand website marketing objectives and conversion rate optimization
  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager or similar tracking scripts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills across different functions with emphasis on verbal and written communication
  • Solid understanding of what facilitates a great user experience
