Overview
We’re looking for an imaginative and collaborative Founding Product Designer to join our Series A startup as we scale. In this role, you won’t just design pretty screens—you’ll shape the future of our product and brand, solving real problems for real customers and driving serious business impact.
You’ll be the one and only designer on our team, which means you’ll own the entire design function from top to bottom. We have a design system, but you’ll have the freedom (and responsibility) to expand and evolve it to meet the needs of a growing product and user base. From user interfaces to scalable processes, you’ll create, iterate, and refine until things are as intuitive as they are beautiful.
You’ll dive into the deep end with our customers (mostly cybersecurity execs), figure out what they need, and turn that into designs that are both ridiculously intuitive and surprisingly delightful. On top of that, you’ll team up with our small (but mighty) engineering and product squads to make sure your ideas actually make sense to build.
This is a job for someone who thrives in chaos, doesn’t need a road map, and isn’t afraid to throw out their own work if it doesn’t pass the vibe check. You’ll need creativity, empathy, and confidence to own the design function. If fast-paced environments, shifting priorities, and a “figure it out” mentality excite you, we want to talk to you.
You will
-
- Design user experiences from “rough idea” to “wow, this actually works”
- Build a design system that grows with the product, not something you’ll want to throw out in a year
- Talk to real users, learn what they love (and hate), and make the product better because of it
- Take messy workflows and make them simple enough for anyone to understand
- Be the voice of the user while balancing what’s possible and what keeps the business running
- Test bold ideas, ditch what doesn’t work, and refine the stuff that does
- Make sure our branding doesn’t just look good, it stands out
You have
-
- Product design experience in startups or fast-paced, “figure it out as you go” environments
- A portfolio of intuitive, user-friendly designs that make people think you read their minds
- A self-starter mentality — spot the problem, come up with solutions, and bring a plan to execute
- Strong wireframing and prototyping skills (we use Figma)
- A knack for prioritizing work that drives growth while making time for creative, high-impact projects
- The ability to turn user research into designs that make people say, “Finally, someone gets me”
- The resolve to try bold ideas, own failures, and come back with something even better
- A low-ego attitude that welcomes feedback from anyone with a good idea
$120,000 – $130,000 a year

Values
– Ego-free zone: Teamwork comes first. No room for egos, just smart people collaborating to get stuff done.
– Move fast, adapt: Jump in, get uncomfortable, make decisions, toss what doesn’t work, and keep learning. Celebrate progress.
– Curiosity drives us: Ask a lot of questions. It’s how we get smarter, better, and discover what’s next.
– Work your way: You do you. We care about results, not hours—work when and where it suits you.
How We Work
– Async-first: We default to async work using internal tools, with a small number of recurring, impromptu, and social gatherings held synchronously.

– Continuous feedback: Everyone is empowered and encouraged to share quick, actionable, and constructive feedback with colleagues and leadership.
– Fully remote: We don’t have a physical office. Work anywhere in the US as long as you have access to the tools you need to be productive.
