Airbyte is the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. We believe only an open-source approach can solve the problem of data integration, as it enables us to cover the long tail of integrations while enabling teams to adapt pre-built connectors to their needs.
Within just 18 months, we’ve built 150+ connectors and we’ve had 15,000+ companies syncing data with us. We’ve raised $181M from some of the world’s top investors (Benchmark, Accel, Altimeter, Coatue, Y Combinator, etc.) and believe in product-led growth, where we build something awesome and let our product bring the users, rather than an outbound sales engine with cold calls.

Opportunity

As our first Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and scaling Airbyte’s partner network and strengthening our position in the modern data ecosystem.  This is a high impact, high visibility role that reports to the Head of Business Development.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the day to day tactical relationship with our partners, including both tech partners and services partners.
  • Identify and plan co-marketing and co-selling engagements with partner teams.
  • Be inquisitive in conversations with partners to uncover ways to deepen our partnerships, strengthen our product, and drive more joint GTM opportunities.
  • Work with internal and external teams to create content (such as blog posts, one pagers, diagrams, case studies, and sales playbooks) that highlights relevant use cases with partners and demonstrates our joint capabilities.
  • Act as the liaison between our partners and our Product team, tracking potential feature improvements and communicating our roadmap effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth — this isn’t a quota carrying role at this time, but is very much expected to contribute to the top line.

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years in an external-facing professional role, ideally in or adjacent to the tech industry.
  • Ability and passion for developing, establishing and closing partnerships.
  • An established history of working closely with sales and marketing teams in competitive environments.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You are self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and get stuff done.
  • A sales mentality, even if you haven’t worked directly in a quota carrying role.
  • Experience in or with B2B SaaS.
  • A passion for continuous learning and improvement (both at a personal and team level).
  • You are enthusiastic about Airbyte’s vision and believe in our values, especially “owning the outcome.”

Bonus Points:

  • Partner marketing experience and a solid history of content creation.
  • High-growth tech startup experience.
  • An understanding of the Modern Data Stack, and exposure to the Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, GCP, or similar partner ecosystems.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Crossbeam, Partnerbase, and related tools – or a demonstrated ability to pick them up quickly.
