Overview

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial and collaborative Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Series A startup as we scale. You’ll team up with our two founding Account Executives and report directly to the CEO, creating the systems and processes that will drive our growth.
We want you to make an impact quickly — expect to start bringing in leads within your first 3 weeks. This isn’t a plug-and-play sales role, and there’s no playbook waiting for you, you’ll be helping us write it. Mass templates and generic outreach won’t work here. You’ll need a low-ego, fail-fast mindset to test new ideas, learn from mistakes, and figure out what really works. With minimal handholding, you’ll roll up your sleeves and tackle everything from prospecting to grassroots marketing, building the foundation for our future success.
You’ll dive into the deep end of cybersecurity, engaging with sharp, discerning executives who don’t hand out trust lightly. Building credibility with this crowd is essential, so if you’re curious, adaptable, and ready to tackle challenges head-on, we’d love to hear from you.

You will

    • Use lead gen tools to create targeted and accurate prospect lists
    • Book meetings with executives, including C-suite, who genuinely want to hear from you
    • Earn trust with cybersecurity pros by being sharp, authentic, and well-prepared
    • Prospect strategically, focusing on the industries, companies, and decision-makers that matter
    • Get creative with your outreach — cold calls, LinkedIn messages, whatever sparks a conversation
    • Write scripts that feel human and are worth sharing with future team members
    • Experiment with fresh ideas, adapt quickly, and help create a sales playbook that works
    • Share insights with leadership and product teams to shape strategy and improve outcomes
    • Scope out, plan, and attend conferences to meet decision-makers and stay ahead of trends
    • Host small group dinners or other grassroots events to build genuine, lasting connections
    • Keep our CRM organized and follow up to ensure no opportunities slip through the cracks

You have

    • 1+ years as an SDR/BDR with a knack for building strong pipelines
    • Experience selling to senior execs, ideally in cybersecurity or other “trust is everything” industries
    • Communication skills that make even the busiest stakeholders stop and actually listen
    • Organizational skills so solid you could probably Marie Kondo a sales pipeline
    • A curiosity that makes you dig into how stuff works and how to make it even better
    • A habit of asking smart questions to spot opportunities and fix what’s broken
    • The ability to research, adapt, and figure things out like a pro without a manual
    • A genuine interest in learning about cybersecurity and standing out in a tricky industry
