Overview
nZero seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative. As a key sales team member, the Business Development Representative plays a vital role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive company growth and revenue. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and building relationships with potential clients and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential clients and partners through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and social media platforms
- Conduct thorough research to understand target industries, market trends, and competitors to effectively position our products/services
- Actively engage with leads and respond to inquiries promptly, nurturing relationships and guiding them through the sales process
- Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategic business development plans
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of our offerings
- Monitor and analyze market conditions, industry developments, and customer feedback to identify emerging opportunities and areas for growth
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to leadership
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless handover of leads and effective onboarding of new customers
- Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and advancements to stay ahead of the competition
Recommended Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in a B2B environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to convey sophisticated information in an efficient, easy-to-understand manner
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment is motivated to drive business and outcomes independently and is biased toward action
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and quotas
- Market knowledge of the carbon emission space or sustainable energy goals
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Technical skill and/or ability to acquire in‐depth knowledge and use of nZero products
- Degree preferred but not required
