About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with our internal/external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate direction and progress.
- Drive improvements in software quality practices
- Oversee and direct the development of new test frameworks and applications to ensure the implementation of manual and automated test solutions.
- Contribute to test process, tools, and methodologies to include both manual as well as automated test execution.
- Interpret requirements for testability and ensure coverage in test case design.
- Develop strategy and frameworks for load, Concurrency, Stress, scalability and performance testing as per Business need.
- Lead the design and delivery of Compliance tests to monitor compliance with Regulation and internal policy.
- Deep understanding and hands on experience in automation frameworks like selenium, cypress, codecept, Cucumber framework, Junit, etc. API automation, experience working on CI/CD, version control tools like git
- Drive architecture discussions, performance optimizations and end to end improvements into the platform with development architects and leads.
- Experience in Accessibility Testing, A/B Testing, Responsive Testing tools and Frameworks.
- Contribute to global discussions on testing matters, such as setting global templates and sharing best practices.
- Conducting test checks/ testing reviews – Quarterly/Semi-annual / Annual basis
- Understand regulatory /internal compliance requirements.
- Integrate testing with continuous-integration process.
- Troubleshooting mindset, an ability to break down a system or process systematically and effectively into subparts to identify failure mechanisms.
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new test and automation techniques, and better assist other team members.
- Participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation). Work within an Agile team, participating in ceremonies related to the Agile framework. Support cross-functional teams in requirements analysis, design reviews, code reviews, deploying, and maintaining the product / tool.
- Drive automation strategies, testing best practices and ensure test code is of the highest quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BE, BTech) in Computer Science, or Engineering OR equivalent experience and knowledge required.
- 10+ years of experience in QA/QC related roles with 3+ years in owning quality portfolio of a large-scale applications.
- Excellent spoken, written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent mentoring skills and people enablement through thought leadership.
Attributes of Successful Candidates
- Thorough knowledge of the web application development process, including conceiving, planning, documenting, and leading large, application projects.
- The ability to understand and communicate architectural principles, best practices, code patterns, Agile practices, testing automation, and mentoring/education.
- Take ownership of the software development process to ensure quality and keep abreast with the latest industry trends in testing tools and automations.
- A great attention to detail, with an ability to work clearly, concisely, and quickly; the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- A desire to learn, and adapt to, the latest technologies.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to make things happen with limited instruction.
