This is a full-time, remote position.

Who you are: 

  • Highly creative with experience writing compelling and engaging copy
  • Extremely organized with excellent time management skills; ability to re-prioritize when needed
  • A strong communicator with 3+ years of writing for marketing, brand or ecommerce content
  • Constantly develops and broadens your skills and wants to collaborate across disciplines
  • You have a sharp eye for detail and deliver high-quality work

What you will do as a Content Strategist:

  • Draft compelling copy to support all communications and marketing initiatives such as websites, emails, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, brand stories and more
  • Draft captivating copy for owned channels such as email newsletters, social media, and blog posts
  • Ability to write SEO-rich content
  • Create holistic content strategy inclusive of multiple tactics
  • Serve as in-house research analyst to monitor and report on trends in sports, technology, startups, media, and relevant client verticals
  • Monitor press coverage for our competitors, as well as coverage of the
    sports, startup, and technology industry
  • Suggest story angles, marketing opportunities, and branding opportunities for clients
    based on industry research

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience in a high-growth technology business
  • Strong copywriting skills – ability to synthesize complex information
  • Knowledge of SEO and SaaS platform best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Past experience writing sports-focused content
  • Love of storytelling and wordsmithing
  • Strong ability to think both creatively and strategically
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and distill trends and themes
  • Familiarity with industry standards (AP Style, etc)
  • Strong interest in sports and technology
  • In-depth knowledge of at least 3 sports and willing to quickly learn about others to be able to write using relevant terminology
  • Desire to learn, grow and be part of fast-growing start up
  • Positive, proactive, can-do attitude; strong organizational, time management and research/reporting skills

Applicants must be comfortable and confident on the phone while able to think quickly under pressure.

This is an hourly full-time, remote position.  Our Customer Support line is currently open 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST. We are looking for candidates who fit an 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM CST shift. We are open to any location in the continental United States as long as the candidate is willing to work within the hours defined above. There is a growth opportunity within our company, and this is a great starting point for a recent graduate!

Responsibilities:

  • Reactively resolve customer issues in a timely manner
  • Proactively reach out to customers when issues are identified
  • Tag and catalog issues appropriately utilizing our internal ticketing tool
  • Gather feedback directly from customers and surface to appropriate internal constituents as needed

What we are looking for in you:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Actively pursuing or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Experience in Customer Service
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Positive Attitude
  • Comfortable in working from home and achieving all Service-Level Agreements
