What You’ll Do

  • Ensure new servers are properly racked, labeled, and cabled
  • Maintain Documentation on the layout of the datacenter
  • Maintain an inventory of systems and components in the datacenter
  • Work remotely with the lead DC engineer to ensure timely deployment of systems and completion of maintenance tasks
  • Assist with troubleshooting and replacement of faulty hardware
  • Manage a parts replacement cache
  • Maintain tools and software systems that support host management and inventory automation
  • Support the maintenance and addition of new systems by contributing to configuration management and test automation tooling
  • Work in a hybrid capacity, working on-premise in the datacenter as needed to provide support, receive shipments, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot issues
  • Update, create, and respond to trouble tickets in a timely manner


  • Have excellent attention to detail, and care deeply about getting things right
  • Have experience with data center cable management & labeling systems
  • Have Linux administration experience and are comfortable on the command-line
  • Have professional  experience working in a production datacenter environment
  • Have professional experience maintaining or developing Linux systems and tooling
  • Understand the basic function of core server components (RAM, CPU, GPU, Storage Devices (HDD, SDD, NVMe), PSUs), and have experience replacing them
  • Are located within 30 minutes of Bluffdale, Utah
  • Have experience working with system automation tooling, such as DCIM systems, PXE servers, and configuration management software
  • Familiarity with cabling standards; copper, dac, fiber
  • Have a clear understanding of critical datacenter infrastructure systems (cooling, power, airflow orientation)

Nice to have

  • Network management experience/certifications (CCNA)
  • Systems Administration certification
  • Hardware systems monitoring experience
