Distribution Associate – (Location, Remote)

The Distribution Associate will report to the Sr. Manager, Distribution and serve as an integral member throughout the entire channel launch process.

As we scale channel launches at Wurl, the Distribution Associate will work closely with customers as well as our internal Content Operations, Support, Connector Distribution Center, and Client Services teams to oversee the end-to-end distribution of content to streamer QA. You’ll be responsible for customer updates, serve as an internal POC for launch statuses and become a subject matter expert on specifications and QA windows. You will also assist the Programming Strategy, Content Operations and Connector Distribution teams on an as-needed basis, ensuring new, ongoing and cross-functional projects are executed in a timely fashion.

This position is key to the overall channel lifecycle within the Wurl Network, coordinating not only launches, but redeployments of existing channels and sunsetting of streams as they are deprecated from services. Someone who finds managing several projects simultaneously, communicating effectively — all with a  positive team mindset will find this job both challenging and rewarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key point of contact for external comms for Streamer and content Company Portfolios
  • Provide clear and reliable communications to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate the planning, management and execution of multiple channel launches from Onboarding to Streamer QA
  • Proactively identify variances amongst Streamers and Content Companies, partnering with internal stakeholders to develop a successful mitigation plan
  • Maintain most recent Streamer and Content Company knowledge through Best Practices and shareable documentation
  • Provide visibility to all deliverables status, timelines and issues, frequent status updates to the team and relevant partners
  • Proactively seek feedback to constantly improve process and execution
  • Ability to identify which issues need to be escalated and effectively communicate them to other branches of the company using tools such as JIRA, ZenDesk and Asana
  • Have an innovative eye for ways to scale launch efforts while maintaining any documentation needed to ensure the process remains accurate
  • Assist Channel Operations to meet deadlines, scale for future growth and execute scheduling efficiency

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in video content operations, broadcast operations, entertainment or related industry
  • Experience in project management and quality systems
  • Basic understanding of video specs including video codecs, closed caption formats and stream output type
  • Attention to detail with effective written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with JIRA, ZenDesk and Asana
  • Top-notch problem solving skills, with a knack for finding the solution by collaborating with both internal and external teams
  • Comfortable with asserting requirements and deadlines internally and with the customer
