Engineering Manager, Sales Support

The Engineering Manager in the Sales Support domain, will help our engineers build out our vision through the development of cross domain dashboards. These dashboards include, but are not limited to: our sales team tools, internal tools for our support team, and user specific dashboards on the platform. This role requires 30% hands-on development, 30% team management, 30% project management, and 10% building a positive culture amongst teams. This role will own the delivery of multiple dashboards, and integration with our shared services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management support for development teams by aligning teams on priorities, and using Jira to track work
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and communicate roadmaps and goals
  • Develop documentation support for each dashboard and service
  • Own dashboard and service change management and uptime
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to development teams
  • Pair program with developers to drive projects across the finish line
  • Align engineers on technical best practices and standards
  • Measure and share monthly KPIs to leadership team
  • Hire, retain, and develop strong global development teams
  • Ensure alignment of company and organizational values across teams
  • Ensure developer due diligence and quality control
  • Own security, monitoring, and alerting across dashboards and services
  • Lead teams through company growth initiatives and changes
  • Maintain a positive and respectful culture

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a technical contributor
  • 3+ years of professional experience with NodeJS and full stack JavaScript development
  • 3+ years professional experience building API services (preferably utilizing GraphQL)
  • 2+ years of professional experience managing and/or mentoring multiple individuals
  • 2+ years experience working with Jira to document and break down development work
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar field OR equivalent experience
  • Clear understanding of the full lifecycle of software development
  • Strong eye for detail and the ability to deliver quality development work
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • High ability to tolerate the occasional dad joke or pun
  • Understanding of event driven systems a plus
