Great! Because HubSpot’s is seeking a talented communications professional to join our dynamic team and oversee critical components of the corporate and product comms portfolio.
As Fellow, External Communications, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our overall communications strategy for key areas like: executive thought leadership, earnings, AI ethics, policy, and crisis comms. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, this role will be responsible for ensuring consistent and effective communication both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
While responsibilities may change from time to time as needs change, the core of your role will be to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies for earnings and other business milestones, including INBOUND
- Create compelling messaging and content to support key announcements and milestones, such as company newsroom content, social copy, video scripts, media relations, and FAQ
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists and industry influencers to amplify HubSpot’s presence externally
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to enhance our communications strategies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders like investor relations, legal, internal comms, policy, exec teams, brand, social, and product comms
- Support executive leadership in preparing thought leadership content (written content, speaking engagements, social, etc.)
- Manage crisis communications and issues management, ensuring a proactive and transparent approach

- Have led corporate communications for publicly traded companies
- Have deep experience in areas such as earnings, policy, executive comms, and crisis
- Have proven and demonstrated media relationships
- Understand technology, platform businesses; prior experience in the B2B SaaS and CRM space is a bonus
- Have a growth mindset; a love for learning, figuring out how things work, and evolving what exists today
- Are self-starters, able to operate independently with a focus on driving results
- Are effective communicators, able to distill technical topics for broad audiences
- Are great collaborators, able to manage relationships with many stakeholders across the business
- Have strong instincts and judgment, knowing what makes a good story for media and external audiences
Cash compensation range:Â 165000-265000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
