SailPoint is seeking a Field Marketing Manager for the Japanese market.  This marketer will be responsible for driving demand and pipeline acceleration through marketing programs they create and execute in Japan.

The individual will report directly to the APJ Head of Marketing and will work closely with the VP and Country manager of Japan and the regional sales team.

Specific responsibilities include development of a marketing channel strategy that takes into consideration various marketing channels, including email, social media, digital advertising, content syndication and events. The Japan Field Marketing Manager will extend, where appropriate, headquarters-developed demand generation efforts into the region, and work closely with local sales staff to develop region-specific programs as needed. The right candidate will act as the regional marketing evangelist, the focal point for the prioritisation and feedback of all field-related marketing information and requirements.

The role will include the following activities:

  • Digital marketing campaign execution, content and asset development.

  • Promote SailPoint’s platform strategy and messaging in the region.

  • Build a dedicated marketing plan to align with the Japan GTM strategy and help engage prospect accounts to create pipeline for sales.

  • Work closely with channel partners and the SailPoint Partner Manager to build joint marketing activities in the region.

  • Organise and execute marketing events such as trade-shows (virtual or in-person), seminars, webinars, etc.

  • Monitor lead follow up and conversions to opportunities in order to build healthy pipeline, working with the ISR team.

  • Implement social media tools to enhance communication with prospects and customers.

  • Work closely with the Japan team and Customer Success Managers to drive increased usage and references from existing customers.

  • Where appropriate engage with local press contacts in the region – working closely with the Corporate PR team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7-10 years working experience in IT marketing management (Security domain advantage).

  • An inspiring, ambitious personality and excellent communication skills.

  • Good understanding of B2B marketing both direct and via channel partners.

  • Experience with Sales and Marketing technology, including Salesforce, Marketing Automation tools, Social media platforms, Content and Sales enablement hubs.

  • Experience with event management and logistics. Strong event organisation experience.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience providing ROI metrics for marketing investments.

  • Fluent in English and must be prepared to travel within the region and to the US (when applicable).

  • Knowledge in online marketing and social media an advantage.

  • Education in Marketing and/or Business Administration will be an advantage.

  • Strong organisation and detail-oriented discipline in reporting and managing sales demands.

This role will be based remotely and aligned to the Japan business unit.

The role will require the candidate to travel within the region and to the US occasionally (when applicable).
