WeTransfer is looking for an experienced Performance Marketer to lead the development of a paid media strategy that delivers on our long-term ambition of being a leading subscription service for creatives.
Our ideal candidate is a data-driven marketing expert with a track record of driving ROAS on digital channels, and demonstrates a deep understanding of how to build marketing plans that deliver on financial goals. They will collaborate closely with Analytics, Finance, and Planning teams to deliver critical analysis, strategic support, and reporting of media plans and budgets.
You enjoy being hands-on in the planning, development and execution of performance channels, but also know how to manage partners effectively, keeping yourself out of the weeds and staying focused on high-level business goals. You will be expected to act quickly, delivering against aggressive goals which include efficiently managing paid media investment.
You’re comfortable in an agile work environment, excited to help build a culture that allows for experimentation, but understand the crucial role that data must play in decision making and accountability. In this role you’ll be responsible for developing clear KPIs and roadmaps for internal teams and partners, allowing teams to work quickly and autonomously.
We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate with a strong analytical and reporting background, and experience in direct-to-consumer digital marketing. The individual should have a strong interest in financial modeling and statistics.

Key responsibilities:

    • Develop a performance marketing model for WeTransfer that contributes the company’s objective to be a 1M subscription business, by the year 2023. Should include a media channel strategy, audience segmentation, budget allocation, testing roadmap, KPIs and a reporting format and cadence.
    • Excel modelling and creation and maintenance of Budgeting & Forecasting models to support the planning processes. Providing meaningful and insightful analysis and reporting around marketing operations and financial performance
    • Develop an experimentation roadmap for paid campaigns, that tests and iterates on copy, design, landing pages, channels, audiences, etc.
    • Lead brief development and oversight of direct-response work with our media agency to ensure we’re getting the best possible work, and driving a healthy ROAS.
    • Support innovation in high-volume social ad creation, landing page testing and other drivers of conversion and retention.
    • Collaborate with the data team to develop and implement an approach to online tracking that helps to build a better understanding of user behavior and growth opportunities across the entire purchase funnel.
    • Leverage media, finance and user reporting tools to codify and communicate performance learnings to the WeTransfer Leadership Team on a quarterly, monthly and weekly basis.
    • Ongoing oversight of CAC and LTV tracking to drive decision-making around budget allocations and subscription forecasting.
    • Develop impactful, compelling, data-driven presentation materials to communicate financial projections, drivers, marketing performance, risks and opportunities to leadership.

What we’re looking for:

    • 15+ years relevant experience in media and/or growth marketing strategy
    • Proven track record of developing performance marketing models that increase ROAS (ideally for subscription services)
    • Advanced excel modelling and analytical skills
    • Knowledge of established and emerging digital marketing platforms
    • Experience working with a variety of analytics tools and on-site tracking methods and using data to inform strategy development
    • Hands on experience with full-funnel marketing tactics and channels
