The position

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Recruiting Manager, joining our People team. In this role you will support a team of talented Recruiters, tech or non-tech ones depending on the specialisation, and will work on shaping the vision of our talent strategy.


  • 4+ years experience in Recruitment at a tech start-up or high scaling start-up with at least 2+ years experience managing a Recruiting team.
  • Solid track record in results and moving at a pace to meet the company scaling needs.
  • Aligned to Remote’s values and a keen interest in finding the best talent in the world, that matches these values.
  • Previous experience in a scaling tech start-up would be ideal, but not required.
  • Ambitious and intentional about diversity and inclusion.
  • High sense of urgency, accuracy with the ability to recognise, take on and/or delegate priorities.
  • Writes and speaks fluent English.
  • Experience in managing all-remote or geographically distributed teams would be a plus.
  • It’s not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and motivate a team of Recruiters.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with the members of the Recruiting team.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide career development of the Recruiting team members.
  • Shape the vision and long-term strategy of the Recruiting function at Remote in close partnership with the Senior Manager, Recruiting, and other People team members.
  • Collaborate closely with the Hiring Leaders to ensure that the team meets hiring targets and provides a great hiring experience.
  • Maintain data integrity, reports, and performance metrics for the team.
  • Remove operational roadblocks in collaboration with the Senior Recruiting Manager and other People leaders.
  • Drive innovation and be keen to explore and assess new processes, programs, and tools when needed.
  • Act as an advocate for remote working and values, ensuring our values are experienced throughout the hiring experience.

Remote Compensation Philosophy

Remote’s Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair unbiased compensation and fair pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. We do not agree to or encourage cheap-labour practices and therefore pay a minimum annual salary of USD 40,000 per year, in all locations throughout the world. Actual compensation may vary based upon geographical location, experience, and/or skill level. However, it will never be below our minimum global compensation mentioned.
