As a marketing team member, you can expect to work with some amazingly talented people invested in your growth and development. As the Communications Coordinator at Guusto, you will report to the Content Marketing Manager and collaborate with Sales, CS, and Product to ensure our voice and content are consistent across all customer-facing channels.

In your first 3 months, you will…

  • Meet with the Marketing team, align on priorities and projects that are ongoing and in the Marketing roadmap
  • Connect with other stakeholders in Sales, People, CS and Product to better understand the Employee Recognition space and overall HRTech industry
  • Review and align with the Guusto Voice and Tone for customer communications
  • Review historic social media posts and look to see what is landing and what is not

In your first 12 months, you will…

  • Own and execute all Guusto social media content (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Manage the Guusto social media content calendar
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales team members on creating partnerships, such as speaking opportunities, partner webinars, article submissions and other co-marketing opportunities
  • Collaborate with the People team to support Employer Brand development through different Employer awards and certifications
  • Develop and support a community of HR/People professionals focused on Employee Recognition (Slack, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
  • Develop strategic email content to support a variety of multichannel marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with the Content Marketing Manager around content roadmap and overall strategy

As a collaborative and small team, we are looking for someone excited to grow and develop within the communications role and take ownership of our Social Media and partnership channels. This role has a lot of room for growth and advancement as we build out our Marketing team and expand our business.

What to expect

  • Zoom Interview: a 30-minute call with Noah (Head of People) to discuss your background, Guusto, the role, and answer your questions about Guusto.
  • Panel Interview: a 60-minute call with Conor (Content Marketing Manager) and Deborah (Product Marketing Specialist) to discuss your overall marketing experience, how you think about social media, and the marketing team’s makeup.
  • Take-Home Project: we ask all candidates to complete a take-home project that will be reviewed by Conor (Content Marketing Manager)
  • Final Interview: a 60-minute call with Kevin (Head of Marketing) and Skai (Cofounder) to discuss marketing skills, communication strategies, experience and answer your questions about Guusto and the Marketing team.
  • Reference & Background Check: At this point, we will ask for some references to call and will send over a background check as part of our due diligence.
  • Offer: Ideally, this is the part where we make the offer, you accept, and we all celebrate!

Additional Application Information

We are a remote-first organization with employees in multiple cities and provinces and accept applications from anyone able to work in Canada. If you are located in the Vancouver area, you are welcome to use our main office at 1155 W Pender St.

As part of our interview process for this role, you will be asked to complete a 1-2 hour take-home writing assignment to create different social media posts. More details for the take-home assignment will be provided after your call with Conor and Deborah.
