Overview

Babylist is looking for a creative Newsletter Editor to curate, write and edit our editorial emails and newsletters. You’ll curate and write the best newsletters in the market, with a sharp, empathetic eye for meeting our highly engaged audience of 2+ million new and expecting parents where they’re at in their journey. This role will report to the Managing Editor.

What You’ll Do

  • Curate and write Babylist’s weekly newsletter, shopping editorial emails and pregnancy and parent week by week emails
  • Monitor performance and analytics, proactively suggesting improvements and A/B tests
  • Collaborate with editorial, social, partnerships and merchandising teams on distribution of content
  • Work with retention, growth and product teams on copy for onboarding and transactional email iterations
  • Continually optimize our newsletters to deliver best-in-class content, increase engagement and grow and retain our audiences

Who You Are

  • 3-4 years editorial experience, preferably writing and/or curating for newsletters
  • An engaging, lively writer with a gift for writing clickable subject lines and copy
  • Super organized, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for formatting and copy errors
  • Strong line-editing or copy-editing experience
  • A deep understanding and excitement for supporting expecting and new parents, as well a newshound who’s always on top of relevant news and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to take user feedback and adjust
  • Understanding of audience engagement and growth strategies
  • Familiarity with email analytics, ESPs and UTMs
