Overview

This role is primarily remote but we do need the person to be in the Seattle area for occasional office visits.
Responsibilities:
  • Payroll processing and administration
  • Prepares monthly journal entries for payroll and benefits accounts
  • Assists in commission, bonus calculation and payroll/tax related balance sheet accounts reconciliation
  • Assists in payroll system selection, migration and integration
  • Manages multi-state sales tax registration and fillings
  • Coordinates with states and payroll provider to resolve all tax notices
  • Interacts directly with employees and HR to resolve payroll related issues
  • Maintains accurate records and keep up-to-date on payroll regulations
  • Assists with accounting ad-hoc projects

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years experience handling payroll in a multi-state environment with general ledger experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting or relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadline
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Positive and customer service-oriented attitude
