Overview

MEPPI’s Service Center Division is looking for a Process Improvement Specialist to analyze, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the Service Center Division (SCD).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes, workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Design, propose, and implement process improvement plans to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity, that align with the Division’s strategic roadmap, and support the scalability of our service operations and tools.
  • Create process documentation, develop training materials and provide training and support to employees on new processes and best practices.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather detailed information on current state processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose recommendations for future state processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and input, gain buy-in, and develop solutions to ensure successful implementation of process changes that drive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain SCD procedures and detailed documentation of process changes and improvements. Track and measure the impact of process changes and report progress to senior management. Assist in the development of metrics to monitor process improvement performance.
  • Support OPEX initiatives, including process improvements associated with the 7-SEAS Program and other process improvement initiatives, including benchmarking and development of KPIs.
  • Manage multiple process improvement projects simultaneously and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Further the goals and positive professional image of the Division through effective interaction with customers, vendors and internal departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, industrial engineering, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in process improvement, project management or similar role, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Formal training and experience with continuous improvement programs such as Lean/JIT and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as SIPOC and process mapping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office products, Visio, CRM and ERP business systems.
