Stack Overflow’s Procurement team is growing! We are looking to expand the team to bring a Procurement Analyst onboard. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders from across the company globally, working together to add value for the company. The right candidate will be a strategic, solutions-oriented thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has great communication skills and who has hands-on experience negotiating vendor contracts. This is an individual contributor role, with an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact as the company expands and procurement function scales to support the company’s growing needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide procurement support to help meet goals in a cost-effective and timely manner
  • Develop and maintain existing and new vendor relationships
  • Negotiate vendor agreements for both new software and services, and renewals in order to maximize value for the company (Including pricing, commercials, T&Cs, etc)
  • Follow, maintain, and update procurement processes to ensure that all deals are in line with the Procurement Policy
  • Coordinate with Security, IT, Finance and Legal teams to ensure appropriate vendor due diligence

What You’ll Need To Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of procurement experience
  • Hands-on experience with deal negotiation (commercials, prices, T&Cs)
  • Hands-on experience with negotiating software license agreements (SaaS)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in procurement best practices and vendor selection
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Google Suite
  • Problem solving, record-keeping and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, set pace, prioritize, as well as work independently with tight deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience working remotely/from home as an employee of a company with personnel located throughout the US and abroad
