Overview
Who You Are:
You have a burning passion for the crypto industry. You’re a crypto native who has worked directly with DAOs and deeply understands their challenges and perspectives, first hand. You believe decentralized protocols are the future of human coordination and you have a desire to help enable them to reach their full potential. You are a regular around governance forums and intuitively understand how to authentically engage with protocols. You’re a born networker and understand how to build consensus and create meaningful relationships.
You are a natural collaborator and understand how to deliver on service engagements that fit the needs of a protocol. You are excited about working cross-functionally with other members of the Research Services and Analytics teams to deliver on protocol service engagements. You collaborate and share learning by default, and you’re always going out of your way to ensure you share relevant protocol initiatives with your team. You also enjoy communicating with our audience via Twitter, podcasts, and other mediums about the exciting work our team is doing.
What You’ll Do:
As our Protocol Services Analyst, you will be responsible for representing Blockworks Research as a protocol delegate while creating and maintaining deep relationships with major stakeholders of the protocol. You will leverage your deep understanding of the crypto space to generate insightful discussions in the DAO that ultimately help inform the strategic direction of the protocol.
Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:
- Facilitate Protocol Forums and Votes: You’ll proactively maintain a presence in protocol forums and ensure Blockworks Research maintains a 100% voting and forum participation rate.
- Support Protocol Service Engagements:Â You’ll use your knowledge and experience to assist in designing and executing major protocol service engagements while ensuring an extraordinary client experience.
- Grow Protocol Delegations Under Management: You’ll actively identify and seek out new opportunities to increase Blockworks Research’s delegations under management for your covered protocols.
- Author Applied Research:Â You’ll partner with other members of the Research team to conduct deep and actionable research that provides unique insights and work to share and publicize the reports accordingly.
- Collaborate with Internal and External Stakeholders: You’ll work cross-functionally with Blockworks Research’s internal teams, as well as with external stakeholders to derive informed, data-driven decisions on proposed protocol initiatives
- Continuously Learn and Share Knowledge: You’ll proactively keep up-to-date with evolving themes, protocols, and technologies in the industry and share your learning with the broader Research and Blockworks teams.
Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.
What You’ve Done Before:
Your passion for crypto has led you down the DAO rabbit hole and helped to create your knowledge-base of best practices and lessons learned on how protocols should operate. You have demonstrated DAO experience as an active contributor in governance and have formed relationships with stakeholders in a DAO. You have an analytical background, have exceptional attention to detail, and have a strong ability to operate autonomously. You can clearly and concisely articulate your ideas both verbally and through writing and are an expert at communicating complex ideas simply.
It’d Be Great If You’ve Done This:
You have previous experience executing protocol service engagements and understand the DAO service provider landscape. You’ve served as a delegate in a professional or personal capacity, or have participated in a university blockchain club. If you’ve held positions on a grants, risk, treasury, or similar council, we want to hear about it. Lastly, if you have experience in a traditional consulting/advisory role with a track record of process optimization or have a mathematical background with a strong proficiency in python and quantitative modeling, it may set you apart from other candidates.
