In your first 3 months, you will…

  • Work closely with our QA Lead, Naseema, to learn our current QA process and what the roadmap looks like for improvement
  • Become a product expert through testing, demos and joining product and design meetings
  • Meet with team members in Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other teams to learn more about your fellow team members
  • Look over current documentation and understand needs and gaps that lie in our process
  • Work closely with the Engineering team on defect management
  • Begin working with Naseema and the Product team to build testing frameworks, requirement assessments, and triage protocols

In your first 12 months, you will…

  • Be triaging defects and coordinating resolutions with the Engineering & Product teams
  • Taking the lead on building new testing frameworks to manually test our web and mobile products
  • Continually expand on our documentation for testing frameworks for all projects
  • Work closely with the Product Manager for requirement assessments of new projects and features and outline any discrepancies
  • Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and conduct post-deployment verification
  • Help onboard and train new QA Associates
  • Begin to research and develop a plan to kick-off UI automated testing for Web and mobile

As a collaborative and small team, we are looking for someone who has a passion for quality. You will work closely with the QA Lead to help develop, document and maintain test documentation and conduct various types of manual testing from functional testing to post-release verification. You will help lead the defect management activities and support the assessment and rollout of our web and mobile test automation. We are currently using SQL, Jira, Asana, and Gsuite as the backbone for our collaboration and QA process.

This role has a lot of room for growth as we continually develop and build out our QA team to support our Engineering team to produce and ship world-class code.

What to expect from us

  • Application: your profile will be reviewed within 72 hours, and you’ll hear back from us no matter what (no ghosting!). We aim to respond to every applicant within five business days
  • Zoom Interviewa 30-minute call with Noah (Head of People) to discuss your background, Guusto, the role, and answer your questions about Guusto
  • Take-Home Project: you will be given a questionnaire to review 1-2 days prior to your interview with Naseema and Cameron. This questionnaire will be part of your conversation with them
  • Panel Interview: a 90-minute call with Naseema (QA Lead) and Cameron (Product Manager) to discuss specific QA experience, process knowledge and discuss how the Product, QA, and Engineering teams all work together
  • Final Interview: a 30-minute call with Skai (Cofounder) to learn more about Guusto, talk about the evolution of Guusto and ask any final questions
  • Reference & Background Check: At this point, we will ask for some references to call and will send over a background check as part of our due diligence
  • Offer: Ideally, this is the part where we make the offer, you accept, and we all celebrate!
