At Propel, our mission is to build modern, respectful, and effective financial tools for low-income Americans. Over 5 million people use our app Providers, previously called Fresh EBT, to manage the benefits they use to keep their family well-fed and healthy, stay up to date on critical government programs, save money and earn income. Read more about the impact of Providers here. Now we’re expanding further into the financial services space by building a new financial product that will offer the best banking option for low-income Americans.

As our Recruiting Associate, you’ll be in a key position to help make sure Propel grows quickly and effectively! From Debit Operations, to Business Development, to Government and Public Policy, you’ll deep dive to learn everything there is to know about our non-technical functions in order to be the best partner and recruiter to our hiring managers. Once candidates are found, you’ll be the first face of Propel for many new hires, representing our brand, mission, and impact to hundreds of prospective employees. As a champion of DEI initiatives, you’ll support the building and creating of a fair and equitable hiring process and play a leading role in making Propel a more diverse and equitable workplace.

What you’ll do:

  • Own full cycle recruiting for 3-5 roles while ensuring a wonderful candidate experience from beginning to end
  • Focus on a range of functions from Business Development to Debit Operations, to Government and Public Policy
  • Generate your own candidate pipelines through creative sourcing methods
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to develop a plan to recruit, attract, and hire the best talent for their team.

What you have:

  • 1+ years of recruiting experience preferred and / or extremely passionate about Talent Acquisition
  • 1+ year(s) working in dynamic office environment
  • Curious self starter: You have a demonstrated history of diving and exploring new topics in order to be better in your role.
  • Organized: You’re easily able to juggle multiple candidates at different stages of the interview process for multiple roles without dropping the ball with any one individual.
  • Excellent communication skills: Whether in writing, in person, or on the phone, you excel at expressing your best self while delivering clear and concise communication.
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence: You’re able to read the room and pick up on what isn’t being said.
  • Comfortable with change: You don’t sweat the small stuff and are flexible to an ever-changing environment
