Your Challenge
We are looking for someone who loves working in a growth oriented sales environment. As our sales organization continues to mature and scale, the Sales Director is tasked with leading a team that produces year-over-year revenue growth in a predictable and repeatable fashion. You will lead a team of 5+ sales executives, working with higher education institutions, hospitals, and other leading research organizations throughout North America. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will share your experience and approach to working with prospects along their buying journey. Success at Cayuse requires self direction, a bias towards action, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to get the details right while still moving fast.

Your Responsibilities

  • Hiring, training, coaching, performance management of sales reps
  • Setting and tracking sales targets for the team
  • Engage in sales opportunities with your team members
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales process
  • Monitor key sales metrics and manage performance based on these results
  • Establish best practices for opportunity qualification and advancement
  • Attend remote presentations, meetings and trade shows as required (up to 60% travel was required prior to COVID-19.)
  • Educate yourself and your team on the research market, competitors and industry trends

Your Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven work experience managing a field sales team
  • Experience working with higher education institutions and/or healthcare organizations (hospitals)
  • 6+ year sales experience with focus on SaaS sales with multiple products and modules that are sold both stand alone and as a suite
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales results with teams selling a minimum of $5M a year in ARR with double digit growth, year-over-year
  • High level of communications skills required for training and creating trainers
  • Self motivated, self starter.
  • Highly organized, prompt follow up protocols
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable hosting online meetings with small groups
  • Experience with a CRM solution. (Salesforce is preferred)
  • Experience using BI tools for sales data analytics (such as InsightSquared)
  • Early adopter, comfortable with technology
  • An aptitude for coaching, consultative desire
  • Ability to train and hold team accountable to process
