We are searching for Senior Director of Business Development to join our growing Solutions Sales team; responsible for leveraging deep technical experience and expertise to best position Bounteous’ digital capabilities and offerings to solve critical technology and product problems.
This is a Sales Leadership role, responsible for creating, qualifying, nurturing, winning, and closing new business opportunities with both new and existing clients – ultimately accountable for the winning of opportunities. The Senior Director of Business Development is a part of a larger team (including marketing, sales development representatives, client partners, sales support, etc.) focused on selling services and/or POD teams to CIO/CTO buyers at targeted organizations. Typical areas include Cloud Migration, Data Transformation, Technology Modernization, Product Development, System Integration, and AI/M.
As Senior Director of Business Development, you will combine your own experience and expertise with that of Bounteous to produce service offerings, solutions, sales strategies, and proposals that create, expand, and retain long-term strategic relationships with our clients.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Directly qualify, develop, and close deals that drive $3-4MM calendar year ‘New Business’ revenue with $8-12MM in TCV
  • Support the sales revenue forecasting, resource/staffing forecasting and annual budgeting process
  • Conduct research into target organizations to uncover power and business needs
  • Drive prospecting/cross-sell/up-sell efforts within current client base and in target customer profiles to generate leads and successfully qualify and identify opportunities for Bounteous
  • Navigate client power structures to gain access to key decision makers and uncover value
  • Qualify and nurture opportunities at every stage of the business development funnel: initial engagement, needs assessment, opportunity framing, qualification, proposal creation, close.
  • Develop differentiated win strategies in conjunction with Solution and Competency lead. Manage client interactions and Bounteous competency team members to marry client needs, a strategic vision, and our right-to-win
  • Deliver inspirational and winning proposal and presentations that demonstrate Bounteous differentiation and presents the value of our solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience successfully closing strategic deals worth $1-3MM+ in annual revenue for a systems integrator, eCommerce provider, or digital agency
  • 3+ years of specific expertise selling to or working within the Cloud, Data, or Product Engineering ecosystem
  • Experience and understanding of leading cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Google Cloud; as well as technologies such as Java, React, ETL
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills; must be authentic, disciplined, persuasive, and comfortable presenting to executive level audiences in marketing and technology
  • Exceptional written communication skills; able to craft persuasive and polished proposal copy and written communications
  • Outstanding listening skills; ability to listen for client pain, unspoken objections and develop insights into win strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
