We are looking for an experienced Senior Editor to add to our growing content team. The content team’s primary mission is to create helpful content to support Babylist users in their parenting journey, whether it’s building their baby registry, finding the best products for their families or getting support for questions they have while growing their families or as new parents. While this role will focus on-site content, the content team also includes social, editorial emails and video.
This role will report to the Executive Editor.

Who You Are

    • You have a strong editorial background.
    • You are a seasoned writer and editor and can write and create your own content, as well as assign and edit the content of others.
    • You should have a reporting background and be very comfortable finding and interviewing sources for articles.
    • You should be adaptable to the Babylist voice, have a solid understanding of SEO and be comfortable pulling and reading data.
    • You are incredibly user-focused.

What You’ll Do

    • Focus on the health, pregnancy and parenting verticals, so deep baby product knowledge isn’t required (though interest is nice to have!).
    • Create engaging and useful content across mediums.
    • Work cross-functionally to enable the Babylist team as a whole from a content perspective.
    • Edit and work with freelancers and staff writers.

What You’ve Done

    • Background in lifestyle or health-related content (pregnancy and parenting experience is a very nice to have!)
    • Previous management experience a plus, including freelancers
    • Excellent writer and editor
    • Strong reporter
