Overview
We’re entering a new era of search. Today’s search engine results page (SERP) looks a lot different than it did a year ago. The emergence of generative AI and perspective-driven channels (i.e., Reddit, Quora, etc.) is requiring businesses to rethink their strategy to compete for attention online. HubSpot is looking for a curious self-starter to help us build the playbook for increasing brand and product awareness across perspective-driven channels.
This high-visibility role sits on the Global Growth Team (part of the Inbound Demand Marketing team) and partners directly with the Community, Product Marketing, and Regional Teams to identify, assess, and test new opportunities for HubSpot’s visibility growth in search result pages.
The right person for this role is a strategic thinker and proactive doer who has a proven track record of scaling awareness. They are someone who can quickly gain a deep understanding of our products, features, and buyer personas and leverage this understanding to optimize or find new ways to increase our visibility through the research they conduct on audiences, specific industry trends, emerging channels, and more. They are deeply analytical and use data-driven insights to test theories and improve results. This person is also a pro at working collaboratively and asynchronously, as well as ace communication and project management.
About the role
In this role, you will:
- Develop a program that recruits and retains a network of content creators to create and distribute perspective-driven content
- Own the strategy for increasing Hubspot’s visibility in forums (with a focus on forums impacting SEO—Reddit, Quora).
- Mentor the rest of the team to scale a forum strategy across multiple regions (English, French, Spanish, and Dach markets).
- Develop and nurture strategic relationships with HubSpot partner sites, influencers, and industry experts.
- Stay apprised of upcoming features and features currently available in our products
- Report to our head of Product Awareness and Search Authority.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for people who…
- Have 5+ years of experience in customer advocacy, or program management with an emphasis on networking, preferably in B2B software.
- Have experience and/or interest in forums (experience with Reddit is a plus)
- Understand how SEO works. You know how to assess a website’s credibility, content quality, and off-page factors that help increase authority. You understand that search engines evolve regularly, so you’re curious and monitor changes to stay ahead of the curve.
- Are curious about AI and look for ways to use it to increase efficiency within their workflow.
- Are excellent writers and communicators. You can write a compelling cold email, craft a clear strategy and action plan, and build a relationship without ever hearing someone’s voice.
- Have experience with planning strategic initiatives and project managing implementation. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives is a plus.
- Have strong relationship-building and nurturing skills.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of finding creative solutions.
- Love data; possess the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable steps, use it to communicate the performance of your initiatives as well as pitch new areas of opportunity to explore. Experience with the reporting platform, Common Room is a plus.
- Enjoy a balance of independent and collaborative work.
- Have a passion for diversity, inclusion, and belonging. You’re an ally to underrepresented communities, seek to understand experiences different from your own, and lead with empathy.
