Overview
Lead efforts to develop and manage technical and commercial relationships with customers. Advise and support sales efforts with pricing estimates, customer order development, and regulatory matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support and assist with identifying and developing bid opportunities. Prepare and submit the Company technical and commercial proposal for products/services in response to customer RFQs. Lead and coordinate negotiations on pricing and terms and conditions between MELCO, MEPPI and customers.
- Develop estimates of product and service costs. Recommend price structures to support the Company’s margin requirements and meet the department’s business plan objectives.
- Support and assist in customer proposal negotiations. Collaborate with MELCO engineering, MELCO overseas marketing department, MELCO factories, other suppliers, and customers to finalize technical proposals and contract terms.
- Confirm customer orders are consistent with the Company proposal. Identify all contract requirements and commitments. Enter orders and turnover to projects function.
- Coordinate with MELCO, MEPPI, and customers to revise proposals and pricing in response to customer change orders.
- In collaboration with Company legal resources, review and revise contract terms and conditions, purchase orders, and confidentiality agreements. Execute agreements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate nuclear export control activities per regulatory requirements and applicable laws. Create and file letters with the Department of Energy (DOE) as needed. Maintain database of all sent letters.
- Assist with developing department budgets, strategic plans, sales plans and other functions as needed.
- Support ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) audits as needed.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Department through positive interactions with other departments, vendors, and customers.
- Know MEPPI’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and be able to fully discuss their importance and how they impact work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, digital instrumentation and controls, or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge and/or experience with nuclear utilities, nuclear vendors, or other highly regulated industries.
- Intermediate knowledge of the ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) Program
- Intermediate knowledge and/or experience with designing and implementing Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in multicultural environments.
- <span “:=”” 10.0pt”=””>Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and intermediate knowledge of project management software.
