Overview

HubSpot is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to join our Business Technology team.  In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to design, implement and own innovative solutions that empower our diverse business partners, including Finance, Legal, Security, People Operations, Success and Sales, and others to help drive operational efficiency and scalability within their operations.

This role resides within our Employee Technology group which comprises Business Systems Analysts, System Engineers and administrators responsible for HubSpot’s IT server and application infrastructure.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (process owners, service owners, Security, IT Infrastructure, IT Asset Management) to align requirements with platform capabilities.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and story creation all the way through to solution development and testing.
  • Develop innovative solutions that deliver high value business outcomes.
  • Work with other ServiceNow engineers
  • Support the platform to ensure stability, upgradeability, integrity and efficient operation of the platform.
  • Execute upgrades and install patch/fixes, Investigate and resolve incidents

We are looking for people who have:

  • Valid ServiceNow Administrator certification
  • Strong understanding of and experience developing for the ServiceNow platform
  • Ability to build or modify scripts using Javascript, HTML or other languages as necessary
  • Experience building new integrations with Integration Hub
  • Familiarity with Flow Designer and UI Builder
  • Architected and developed custom scoped applications
  • Experience building custom portal widgets and IntegrationHub actions
  • Knowledge of REST API
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach junior developers and lead platform capability adoption
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting technical information to non-technical audiences

Nice to have:

  • Software development experience outside of ServiceNow
  • Exposure to various ServiceNow platform products like ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, CMDB, GRC, Security Operations, CSM, Scoped/Custom Applications
