About the Role:
As a Site Merchandiser at Imperfect Foods, you will maintain and place merchandising and marketing content of assigned categories in our Imperfect Web catalog and on our webpages. Duties include content placement, formatting, designating, and following naming conventions, uploading images, building relationships with category managers and inventory buyers, coordinating and directing content materials from marketing & merchandising partners, determining visual effects for specific items, and ensuring that all content is compatible with desktop and mobile devices. The Merchandiser I will be asked to navigate the retail content network, using proprietary portals, spreadsheets, FTPs, and other services to ensure that products and their associated content are placed in the most strategic locations. You will be a part of the Grocery team and will report to Merchandising Site Content Manager. You would also manage and lead ad hoc projects as we build site content systems.


    • Responsible for the entirety of the onsite experience, ensuring all promotions, products and content is added to the set when required
    • Responsible for creating weekly catalogs and putting them up on the site flawlessly
    • Partner with fulfillment centers to ensure SKUs are set up accurately and be available to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.
    • Analyze customer interaction on the web to develop optimized category, landing, and homepage designs on all platforms for increased sales opportunities
    • Develop a digital merchandising vision, strategy, and road map to drive strategies that deliver increased conversion, sales, average order value, and other important metrics
    • Respond quickly to setup requests and help the department increase the number of SKUs in the online marketplace to meet departmental goals
    • Learn content management systems quickly and work to increase our number of “imperfect and perfect” SKUs’ to improve the search on the marketplace through various content strategies (i.e. keywords, optimized title, FAQ’s, etc)
    • Works inter-departmentally with Marketing, Creative, Category/Inventory Management, various other partners to execute seasonal deliverables
    • QA the site daily and ensure that everything is represented accurately. Be able to fix issues as soon as they arise, limiting their visibility
    • Recommend improvements to site merchandising and be comfortable to take ideas and run with it

Skills & Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years of E-Commerce or catalog experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree or shown experience required
    • Strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
    • Expert in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
    • Strong ability to identify and execute priorities with a quick turnaround time
    • Ability to work with many cross-functional partners while maintaining professionalism, and navigate complexities within a corporate setting

Details of the Position:

    • Full-time exempt position reporting to the Site Content Manager

Physical Requirements:

    • Sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time

How we are protecting employees from COVID-19
At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.
We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
