Overview

The Engineering People Business Partner (EPBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in the Engineering business unit. The position develops partnerships across the People function to deliver value-added service to engineering management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. As an EPBP, we seek to become change enablers and help drive the people-side of business outcomes.

Your impact:

  • Understand Bitso’s operational and strategic plans, financials, objectives & OKRs
  • Build relationships with engineering stakeholders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
  • Communicate with the business to drive the procurement of services from People Specialized Areas and understand the status/timeline of SLAs. E.g., Internal movements, terminations, promotions, and salary increases
  • As a key strategic advisor working hand to hand with the Engineering People Management Coach to provide coaching and guidance on People matters in areas including career development, employee engagement, performance management, talent management, compensation, training and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
  • Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue. Design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the People team to develop effective solutions, programs, and policies
  • Have deep knowledge of Bitso´s product and engineering strategy and participate as key members from the people aspect of achieving their goals and integration
  • Assist in making smart, informed decisions, interpreting complex analyses, and tying findings back to engineering priorities
  • Provide guidance on employee behavior and conflict resolution
  • Partner with leadership to guidance and input on engineering unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Org design advice and budgeting for hiring plan
  • Align recruitment and hiring priorities, act as a facilitator for the Stakeholders for better addressing Bitso’s growth expectations
  • Being the POC (point of contact) for local People & Tech management
  • Carry out the D&I interventions to raise awareness, encourage open and honest conversations, and allow our people to be themselves at work

Who you are:

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in Human Resources with relevant experience as HR Business Partner, at least 1 year working with IT/Tech departments
  • HR Experience dealing with large teams of engineers, you are familiar with basic concepts, semantic and issues specific to this population
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology
  • Knowledge in designing and implementing operational HR programs from concept to rollout with solid project management skills
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves, juggle multiple priorities, and wear many hats!
  • Self-motivated, collaborative individual with a small ego, owner mentality and sense of humor
  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn, grow, and help others
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high growth technology companies and helping them scale and grow (startup experience is a plus)
  • Full English language proficiency.
