Overview

In the 1950s, global trade changed for good. The invention of the standardized container suddenly meant that transporting goods across the world became affordable. And with that, paved the way for globalization and global wealth. But contrary to the container, most surrounding processes have not been standardized nor innovated—and are still frustratingly complex, manual, and error-prone.

That’s why our ambition is to use technology to simplify the logistics of global trade, making the processes around the container as simple as the container itself. We do that by providing a neutral infrastructure that connects all logistics companies to remove friction and create economic opportunity.

UX/UI Designer (f/m/d)

As our UX/UI Designer, your mission is to understand our users’ problems and to create an exceptional user-experience that makes the complex simple to understand. We want to grow the share of wallet with our customers by enabling them to complete their day-to-day work in the most efficient way and improve their existing processes with our software.

You transform ideas and thoughts into deliverables, pursue your own topics and strive for the ideal outcome by involving internal and external stakeholders from around the world in your design process. You seek to understand their business needs through research and by analyzing behavioral data to support decision-making throughout the product development process. Ultimately, you become an advocate for our users, and you support the overall product development process from idea to final implementation.

We want to handle every single global container transported (currently 170M per year) via xChange. You work directly with the product team on this goal – building on top of a proven product with tons of improvement potential within the user experience.

Your responsibilities in a nutshell

  • Support the overall product development process from idea to final implementation and beyond
  • Research user insights and identify their needs, share these with our Product team and influence how they think about the user
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and rapid prototypes to support our discovery process and validate ideas
  • Create polished designs, and define requirements that leave no questions unanswered
  • Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to bring ideas to life and ensure your design works as expected, e.g. our Product, Tech, Sales team, etc.
  • Set up analytics to observe features from a UX perspective, and proactively identify areas of improvement (and tackle them 😉)
