Lightspeed is an international product IT company that develops POS systems for retail, restaurants, and golf clubs around the world. It is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
As part of Lightspeed, we have a product called Ecwid that helps people all over the world to start an online business and open an online store without the help of programmers and designers.
We are looking for a UX writer (English and Russian languages) to join our company in Tbilisi (on-site, not remote).
Who we are looking for:
A thoughtful and responsible person with several years of extensive professional experience in working with texts to write about complex things in a simple manner.
What you will do:
— Write and edit texts for the Ecwid product interface.
— Create UX scenarios together with product managers, designers, and developers.
— Find ways to deliver value and solve product problems with text.
— Develop and maintain a culture of writing high-quality text.
You won’t write technical documentation, slogans, and SEO articles.
What we expect from our UX writer:
— Several years (1+) of professional experience in working with texts: UX writing, editing, media or journalism, technical writing. This is not an entry-level job.
— Excellent knowledge of English (C2) and Russian is a must — to write without a dictionary.
— Familiarity with design tools like Figma.
— Empathy — to know users’ pain and needs and understand how to correctly present information depending on the context.
— Attention to detail — to notice subtleties in the text and cut off everything unnecessary.
— Ability to organize your workflow and keep track of deadlines.
— Ability to build communications within your team and with other departments.
