Overview

Join our dynamic Finance team to drive financial performance and strategic priorities. As a key member of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you’ll play a crucial role in coordinating, consolidating, and analyzing forecasts, as well as supporting strategic initiatives and reporting.  This Financial Analyst role is responsible for analyzing, modeling, forecasting and reporting on the most dynamic and complex expense areas of the business. You will provide deep domain expertise and analytics support to the departments of CIQ while partnering with the organization in its entirety.

What you’ll do:

    • Collaborate with VP and Manager of FP&A to develop annual expense budgets and recurring forecasts.
    • Provide timely and insightful financial reporting and metrics to department leads, analyzing operating expense drivers for actionable insights.
    • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, investigating variances and identifying trends and opportunities.
    • Create and analyze KPIs related to business growth and profitability.
    • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and ensure cost control measures are in place.
    • Constantly improve data visualization and company-wide and function-specific reporting to drive performance and build accountability.
    • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making and improve FP&A processes and reporting.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Business or a related field.
    • 3+ years of progressive background in financial analysis preferably in an FP&A role with a knowledge of GAAP accounting principles; investment banking experience a plus!
    • An Excel whiz with highly proficient financial modeling and scenario planning skills.
    • Working knowledge of business analytical tools (e.g. Tableau) and experience with databases (e.g. Snowflake) a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, able to interpret and present data effectively to finance and non-finance audiences.
    • Experience with a cloud-based accounting system and/or financial planning system  (e.g. Adaptive Insights, Oracle ERP, Netsuite).
    • Self-starter and able to work independently.
